The things people ask before they order
What does a portrait cost?
Prices start at the smallest size and go up with the size and the number of pets. Every price is on the Pet portraits page, with nothing added at the end except shipping if you want the original posted.
How long does it take?
Each tier lists its own lead time, and I only take a few commissions a month so that stays honest. You will get an email when I start and another when it is ready to look at.
What makes a good reference photo?
Good light, taken at your pet's eye level, close enough that I can see the eyes clearly. Daylight near a window is perfect. A screenshot from Instagram is too low-resolution to paint from.
Can I send more than one photo?
Please do — up to five. Different angles help me understand the shape of a face, and one clear photo of the eyes is worth more than ten of the whole body.
Do I get the original or a digital file?
Every commission includes a high-resolution digital file. The original painting can be posted as well, quoted separately, because pastel is fragile and needs proper packing.
Do you post overseas?
Yes. The digital file reaches you immediately wherever you are; originals are quoted per destination from the Philippines.
What if you cannot take my commission?
I refund the deposit in full, straight away, and tell you why. I would rather say no than draw from a photo I cannot see properly.
